“Top three most utilized hunting units —Unit 1, 2, and 3 on Lana’i. Mauna Kea GMA and Kaohe GMA on Hawai’i Island were the next most heavily used. Most hunters supplement meals with the game —46% supplement for up to 9 meals a month, and 36% for 9 to 30 meals a month. Top three reasons for hunting —To acquire wild game meat, to spend time in nature, and for recreation and sport.”
